picked this one up to read like 6 days ago, finished reading today. loved the story, characters, art, everything, and am def excited to see where the story will be going. one of the best FVN's out there, really loved it. 10/10
will def have to check dryz out once a demo is released
wow this game is pretty awesome, (super minor spoilers)
read the whole thing in like 4-5 days? took me around 20 hours to finish. the title screen itself was enough for me to become hooked lmao. character designs are super cute and expressive. lyall is obviously the fan favorite but i also liked leif, raynar, the blacksmith, and tygrens character design (would love to see more of leif, he's super cute). the background art is INCREDIBLE, probably my favorite part of the game altogether. it always feels super magical and captivating (this is heavy in the last chapter, it was genuinely so beautiful). props to the music producers too, it felt super mythical and really helps to create the tone of the world. speaking of which, the world is also really cool too. i always love when stories give us maps to see and read. it adds some sort of intrigue that makes me wanna get more involved into the setting and lore. i also really like the perspective shifts throughout the story. i like when all stories do this actually, its cool to see stuff from other peoples perspective, even if you might not like them. for the relationship between the mc and lyall, im not no professional gay furry vn reader or whatever (only played monster village and adastra) but i liked it. maybe it was a lil bit rushed but i overall enjoyed it. it was cute and lyall is obviously the goat. not much of a reader as well so some of the words lowkey flew by my head, (specially when adrius was on screen) but it was a really fun read! also very descriptive.
overall this is the best vn ive read so far. everything looks, sounds, and feels great. ill give it a 9.7/10. im so ready for the next arc (no rush tho), cant wait to see more of lyall and especially the worldbuilding.
also lyall reminds me of blaidd from elden ring lmao.

I can always appreciate interspecies (furry/human) romance in media. So seeing Lyall and Richter together has me like. :0 Both of them are great, and I find myself especially appreciative of Richter. I suspect that he may have been groomed for his role prior to being sent to Lyre going off of the scenes with the candle and his obscured past. What a handsome couple he and Lyall make for too! Adrius easily garnered my ire from the beginning, and I was surprised Raynar permitted him to talk to him in the manner he did at the dinner table. (And just in general really) I still remember exclaiming "You little shit!" at my tablet a couple nights ago after finding out he'd killed Raynar. I look forward to seeing him grow (geddit cuz smol) and develop in future installments.
Writing quality is for the most part solid in my eyes. There were a few instances of repetitive words here and there. But nothing a bit of editing wouldn't fix of course.
"The Hunt" was living rent free in my head for a couple days after I first experienced that one chapter. Dear God. I've barely just begun to get back into furry VNs after a couple years and as it stands currently that entire scene at the quarry has got to be my favorite out of the entire VN. (And as of right now my favorite scene out of the VNs I've read this far) It's beyond words. I was and still am spellbound. The entire soundtrack is perfect and I'd be damn proud of myself if I ever managed to create something so great. Beautiful work. Other favorites of mine include "Chimera", "Aberration", "Haven (Day/Night)", and "Storm's Reign". Good stuff! Very inspirational. I absolutely love the gregorian chants and little furnishings of electronic(?) bits and industrial guitar in "Chimera" too. So friggin' awesome.
I feel like I might need another go-around with this VN in order to really soak everything in, as the experience is close to registering as a blur to me. (though this is nobody's fault but my own because my brain is just weird like that) But overall, this was great. As a creative myself, as I was reading I kept thinking about the amount of hours that must've went into this, alongside sentiments of "Holy shit I wanna make a VN one day" of course haha.
Richter and Lyall have gotten me to rethink the standing of two of my own characters for a project I hope to make in the future as well. I'd love to take a crack at my own spin on the human/furry romance trope as well. So many thanks for the inspirational fuel that my creative fire requires! And marvellous work on your first book! I eagerly look forward to what lies in store.
Nice to see. I'm not the only one that liked this vn more than most. You can tell as the story went on the wroter and it was learning and becoming more at ease with the story. There were some plot holes, though. Why are wolves so looked down upon? What's a kestrel(it's a bird)? Why does richter at times seem so snippy to Lyall, like when he compliments his hair repeatedly? Its clear Lyall likes guys who both wear a longer mane and care for it, as clearly Lyall takes great care of his own fur and mane(odd for most furs). Why did adrius start hating Lyall? They grew up together. What did people think of Lyall's previous relationship with Edan? I think Adrius is basically fully grown, hence the Napoleon complex
I wouldnt call these plotholes. Wolves arent really looked down upon and the rest are just questions thay have yet to be answered. Adrius is also not at his maximum height yet.
Lyall kept saying there's something about a wolf. When they started dancing "in Lyre, a Wolf." He also said in his bed chambers, "but a human and a wolf, forget it. We'd be the laughing stock of the entire kingdom." Was that just the differing species? If so was his relationship with Edan secret?
It's also nice to see a vn that doesn't go full porno. The "male parts" are not cartoonish in size and usage, lol. During their first time, they seem a bit nervous, a bit apprehensive, yet very much in love vs. just pure lust. It was a very refreshing change. You should check out Northern Lights if you liked Lyre. That one made me cry a few times.

I fucking loved it, i didnt expect torture or patricide from Adrius lmao, and by the end when you where hunted and almost excecuted idk why but the song Snake eater from Mtgs 3 fits it so well, lyall leaving everything behind just for you its so wholesome and heart warming that i cant stop imagine side stories and wow its a really wonderful novel, i cant wait to play Dryz, the secuel :33
Oh my god, THIS WAS AWESOME! The writing, the characters, the plot—EVERYTHING is perfect. I felt so damn angry when I realized this visual novel is part of a series, and now... I feel empty.

Just recently read this a few days ago and I must say this is the finest piece of literature I've ever read so far. Spot on, incredible!! And I truly mean it. And the fact that it's a Novel series is an absolute pleasure as I enjoy a good book series.
Its a record that I've managed to finish reading for only 3 days!! It took me weeks to read adastra, but this one kept me HOOKED for 3 days.
Im short this is the finest thing I've read so far and I'm excited to see more. Kudos to the creator and developers. You have my patreon support always!!
